My wife’s PhD dissertation proposal was approved this week. She is officially ABD – All But Dissertation. The topic? Something about the recovery and use of tradition in adult faith formation. She’s been researching ELCA congregations around the country that use the ancient catechumenate as a process to welcome and baptize new converts, and also as an Affirmation of Baptism process for new members joining a congregation.
Congratulations Jess. You rock. Tali and I are so proud of you! Now all you need to do is turn that 8-page proposal into a 250-300 page book. Just add water?
