A few months ago I created a www.myspace.com account, simply to explore and understand this vast web destination for millions of youth. I never did much of anything with my MySpace (though it did help an old college friend get in touch with me) and I have since tried to delete it. Three times, actually, have I tried to delete it, but with no luck. Deleting your MySpace account involves clicking "Delete" twice in a confusing account managment labyrinth, and then responding to an email to complete the deletion process. But here’s the catch – they never send you the email, and you can never delete your MySpace.
Same thing with the Yankees. I began getting their emails after purchasing a ticket to last night’s game. I have since clicked on the "unsubscribe" link in their emails, but to no avail. I still get notices about tickets, bobblehead dolls and Yankee greatness. Argh.
