My wife is pregnant, and today is the due date. But we fully expected to have our second baby by now. You see, baby #1 came 5 days early, and last week at the pre-natal appointment the doctor told us that baby #2 would come "any day now." Yeah, that was 9 days ago. 9 days of very careful examination and scrutiny of every single symptom, cramp, and, well, bodily function. We’ve lived anxiously and expectantly (and distractedly) for the past 9 days, and yet no baby. (For more on the waiting game, read this.)
She’ll be here any day now (we’re having a girl) but to be perfectly honest, we’re sick of waiting. C’mon out baby! We’re ready!
