After a week away from the office (which can be found in the truck of my car and a corner of my bedroom) following the birth of our second child, I’m back to work. And what a way to come back – a 16-hour day consisting of two sales presentations, a conference call, and nearly 300 miles round-trip along the storied Pennsylvania Turnpike. Later this week I leave on a four-day business trip, hoping that the experts are right in predicting that the Northwest Airlines flight attendants will not go on strike . . . It’s bad enough to leave your wife and daughters for several days – it’s even worse if you can’t get home due to turbulance in the airline labor negotiations.

Here’s hoping the potential Northwest strike is as harmless for you as it was for us last year! (The flight attendants went on strike the day before our wedding. I was nervous, but none of our guests were affected!) Safe travels…
Did I say flight attendants?! I meant mechanics…
My cousin’s travel was affected one year by a bus strike and another year by a train strike. Seems that travel isn’t sacred, she said with a grin.
