Is it September yet?

Two days of internship team-building has come to a close.  Nearly 100 interns and supervisors gathered on the LTSP campus to learn about policies and procedures for internship, to hear horror stories about internships gone bad, to review expectations and ethics, to explore systems theory, and to pray and worship together. Despite the inevitable boredom and tedium of such an exercise – it could have been much worse; kudos to the event leaders for putting together a quality event – I am excited as heck to get started on my internship.

Is it September yet?

When I begin my internship in September, it will mark the 10 year anniversary of my first semester in seminary.  I’ve been on a hell of a journey, marked by all kinds of ups and downs, some major growth, and plenty of love.  I’m eager to get back into parish ministry, to grow as a church leader, and to work with a community of faith as they live in, explore, and become agents of God’s amazing grace.
