You’ve got to be really stupid to believe this . . .

So our "friends" over at shop.bowlerhatsolutions.co.uk have an IRS refund scam going. I was sent an email at work with this link (also above), and asked to enter my name.

I entered "Phred Flintsone."

The next screen told me that I have a $346.74 refund coming my way. Woo Hoo! Now, all I have to do is give them my social security number, credit card info, ATM pin, and address! What a deal!

With the exception of the amazingly bad web address – who could possibly believe that the IRS would work through blowerhatsolutions.co.uk? – the website is actually a good copy of the IRS website. ‘Tis the season for scams!
