Barry Bonds and The San Francisco Giants are coming to town next weekend, June 1-4. And even though Bonds is approaching Hank Aaron’s all-time home run record – he could even match or pass the 755 mark while in Philadelphia – good seats are still available. I know that Philly is not a good baseball town, but this is amazing.
My dad and I got two good field-level seats for the Monday, June 4 matinée, 20 rows behind the dugout. As my dad wrote in an email to me, "How about a father/son thing? We can go and boo Bonds." How could I pass up this opportunity? I’m working on fashioning a giant asterisk to wave in the air each time Barry comes to the plate . . .
Frank Deford suggests that we attend an anti-Bonds party .
YES!!! A giant asterisk! I saw a giant hypodermic needle on the news a few weeks ago, but the asterisk just says it so much better!
